There is a GOD, because as much as I love Ozzy, the title Soul Sucka for his new release in June, just plainly sucked. Ozzy announced, “I'm going to get a list of names and post it on my web site and find
out which people like the best.So keep an eye open on Ozzy's website and get your vote in.

Nothing says "welcome to America" like being tased in the neck. Ozzy
Porkchop, guitarist of the St. Albans, UK hardcore act, YOUR DEMISE
got to experience this now seemingly common American tradition
firsthand during a recent stop in South Carolina. While playing a
show
on the Small Town Shakedown tour, the band encountered an audience
member who they would later run into again later that night. The band
had heard that the man was carrying a taser and decided to have a bit
of fun with him. What resulted was a mixture of pure hilarity and
plenty of pain for Ozzy who was tased multiple times.

Megadeth
founder and frontman Dave Mustaine has announced the return of
original bassist David Ellefson (1983-2002) to the iconic multi-platinum
group. This reunion is appropriately timed to
Megadeth’s upcoming historic month-long Rust In Peace 20th
anniversary tour which launches March 1 in Spokane, WA. At these incredibly
special shows, Megadeth will play their landmark, genre-defining 1990
album Rust In Peace in its entirety, in addition to other
Megadeth favorites. "This shows the power of brotherly love and forgiveness,”
Mustaine says. “David Ellefson belongs in Megadeth. Next we are
going to show you the power of getting your asses
kicked...HARD!" David
Ellefson concurs: "This is a huge moment for all of us, band and fans alike.
It is a great celebration of the music from one of the biggest landmark albums
of our career."
Ellefson
will
join Mustaine and Megadeth band members Shawn Drover
(drums) and Chris Broderick (guitar) on tour in support of the
group’s current CD Endgame, which has received some of the highest
critical accolades of the band’s career. "We'd like to thank James LoMenzo for several years of
loyal service on the bass, and wish him the very best," Mustaine
adds.

Prepare to be blown to smitherines... Victimizer just finished their mini album entitled "Resurrected Abominations" to be released on CD and 12" Vinyl (first 100 copies "die hard edition") in MAY 2009 via HHR. This is their first official release in about 1.5 years since the acclaimed "The Final Assault" album.
Two new tracks are featured on this profile: "E-37101" & the re-recorded pummeling version of "Reap the Nuclear Whirlwind" (not to give too much exclusive material away)
"Resurrected Abominations" will feature the following tracks (in random order):
Request the songs HERE for airplay:
"Worthy of Hell" "E-37101" "Resurrected Abominations" "Lucifers Domain" (Hobbs Angel of Death Cover) "Reap the Nuclear Whirlwind" (re-recorded)
The new material promises an even more unreasonable take on fast, hard hitting and head splitting diabolical thrash/black/speed metal with a downright crushing, powerful and mean sound. This will in all aspects be the bands strongest effort yet, surely not to dissapoint any fan of bonebreaking armageddon metal for real men.
Victimizer are now based in Copenhagen, Denmark and still consist of JBP (aka Killheiler, vocals), Henrik Engkjer (aka Mr. Born To Lose, guitar) and Vuml (bass). Two new members have joined the ranks in the shape of Soren Bentsen (drums) and Peter Engkjer (guitar). On January 27th 2010, I witnessed concert history at The Patriots Place, in Foxboro,MA. When you see the names,Andreas Kisser(guitar) from Sepultura, Tim "The Ripper" Owens(vocals) from Judas Priest, David Ellefson(bass) formerly of Megadeth, and Mike Portnoy(drums) of Dream Theater on one small stage...one would think it was a dream.
Well the dream was real. The four got together to pay tribute to the great Metal Bands of our time. This will probably be the best show I ever saw in my life and I have seen hundreds. I say it was the best because these guys did this on their own and wanted to do it, so they were really into it, smiling, interacting with the crowd in an intimate setting and most of all having fun!!!! They kicked right into The Ace of Spades by Motorhead and just kept going. The set l list included South Of Heaven (SLAYER),Whiplash (Metallica) among other greats. Tims vocals were awesome as usual and I am sure you all know Mike,Dave and Andreas kicked some Metal Ass!!!! I had a great time and even got into a fight...not my fault. When the band did Whiplash as the last song Ellefson signaled for a pit, so a small one began. It had like 6 people in it that probably never been in a real mosh pit and would have been killed by true moshers. Anways, one big FAT old guy who did not belong in a pit, not to mention being out in public kept slamming into people in front of the stage watching the band. Did I mention this guy was FAT...325lbs at least? After a couple times of him crushing folks in front, I felt I needed to step in...too much boooze ;> I stepped into the pit and signaled the guy to calm down. I then went back to the front where I was enjoying the show. Minutes later fatso came flying into the front again harming women and children, so I attacked. My friend, thought I was joining the pit, until security and fans had to hold me back. NOTE: Never hit a fat person in the stomach if you want to take him down...my hand sunk into his stomach a few times and one of my punches bounced out of his fat rolls and almost knocked me out. Luckily, it was the last song, security was cool and neither one of us got kicked out or hurt. Now that I think about it he also made the show a memorable one for me. Also now that I am in a clear state of mind, he could have sat on me and beat the crap out of me!!! So thanks buddy..it is all part of a metal show!
So if HAIL comes to a small club near you pay the $20 and watch a great show, with very talented musicians. |
